Petrobras Replaces Logistics Chief Amid Fuel Pressures

State oil giant reshuffles leadership and names new board chair.

By Brazil Stock Guide – Petrobras (PETR4.SA) replaced its head of logistics, commercialization and markets on Monday (6), reshuffling senior management as fuel prices remain under market scrutiny.

The move was disclosed in a company statement after a board meeting held Monday (6), where directors approved the immediate early termination of Claudio Romeo Schlosser’s mandate in the role.

Angélica Laureano was appointed to succeed him, with her term starting Tuesday (7) and running through April 2027. She previously led the company’s energy transition and sustainability division.

Following her departure from that role, William França, Petrobras’ executive director for industrial processes and products, will temporarily assume responsibility for energy transition and sustainability in addition to his current duties.

The logistics and commercialization unit is a key division within Petrobras, overseeing fuel distribution and market operations at a time when pricing dynamics remain closely watched by investors and policymakers.

Separately, the board elected Marcelo Weick Pogliese as chairman, according to the same filing. His tenure will last until the next general shareholders’ meeting, in line with the company’s bylaws.

The leadership changes follow an earlier disclosure made on March 31 and reflect ongoing adjustments in Petrobras’ governance structure.
