Weg leadership restructure

By Brazil Stock Guide – Weg S.A. (B3: WEGE3) announced a major executive restructuring that will take effect on January 1, 2026. The board approved the changes in a meeting held on October 21 (Tuesday), according to a company statement released to the market.

The overhaul includes the creation of a Vice Presidency of Technology, to be led by Carlos José Bastos Grillo, currently the head of the Digital & Systems Business Unit. The new position will oversee technological development strategies and promote integration among the company’s various divisions.

In addition, Weg is merging its Automation and Digital & Systems units into a new Automation & Systems Business Unit, led by Manfred Peter Johann, now director of Automation. The consolidation aims to optimize operations and enhance the company’s global competitiveness in industrial automation.

A new Drives & Controls Sales Division, part of the merged unit, will be led by Elder Jurandir Stringari, previously head of the International Division. Anderson Fernandes, an electrical engineer who has been with Weg since 1997, will replace him as Vice President of the International Division. Fernandes led the company’s U.S. subsidiary in 2014 and has recently served as global sales director of the Energy Business Unit.

In the official statement, André Menegueti Salgueiro, Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer, said the restructuring seeks “to optimize industrial, commercial, and administrative resources while supporting Weg’s goal of boosting international growth.”

The company emphasized that its revenue segmentation into four business areas will remain unchanged, while the new structure reinforces its focus on technology and integrated management.
