By Brazil Stock Guide – PicPay has taken a new step to broaden its business beyond financial services by launching an in-app delivery feature, marking an unprecedented move among Brazil’s major fintech platforms.
The service, called PicPay Delivery, integrates the entire purchasing flow — from ordering and payment to real-time delivery tracking — directly into the PicPay application. The initiative is enabled through a partnership with Rappi, one of Latin America’s largest delivery platforms.
The new feature gives PicPay’s user base access to meals and more than 6,000 items available through Rappi Turbo, a fast-delivery service that promises deliveries in up to 10 minutes in major cities including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Recife. PicPay currently reports a customer base of 64 million users.
In a statement, Alexandre Moshe, PicPay’s executive vice president for Audiences and Ecosystem, said the partnership introduces a new market model aimed at increasing convenience within the app. “The partnership inaugurates an unprecedented model in the market to bring even more convenience to users of our app,” Moshe said.
The delivery launch is part of a broader strategy to position PicPay as a multi-service digital platform. In October, the fintech began offering travel packages and airline tickets through a partnership with CVC Brasil (CVCB3.SA), integrating tourism services into its ecosystem. The company had previously introduced an in-app marketplace.
Alongside its push into non-financial services, PicPay has continued to expand its core financial offerings. Last month, it introduced Epic, a brand targeting high-income clients. Earlier, the company announced a global account offering balances in U.S. dollars and euros, developed in partnership with Astropay.
