By Brazil Stock Guide – Brazil’s Ministry of Transport, the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), and stock exchange operator B3 will hold on October 23 an auction for the concession of Lote 4 of Paraná’s integrated highway system — a 627.5-kilometer stretch connecting major logistics routes across southern Brazil. The 30-year concession foresees R$18.17 billion (US$3.2 billion) in investments.
The project covers sections of BR-272, BR-369, BR-376 and state highways PR-182, 272, 317, 323, 444, 862, 897 and 986. It includes 231 kilometers of duplications, 87 kilometers of additional lanes, 39 kilometers of bypasses, and four route corrections, all aimed at improving safety and efficiency for freight and passenger traffic in one of Brazil’s most productive agribusiness and industrial corridors.
According to ANTT, the auction will follow the model of the largest discount on base toll rates, prioritizing lower prices for users while maintaining the economic viability of the concession. The initiative is part of the federal government’s new wave of logistics tenders designed to attract private capital to infrastructure modernization.
The concession integrates the broader “Paraná Roads” portfolio, which foresees more than R$50 billion in total investments through six lots. The previous three rounds, held between 2023 and 2024, drew interest from both local and international infrastructure funds.
