Brava output rises to 82.96k boe/d in September

Q3 average reached 82.4k boe/d, the highest quarterly level of 2026, as offshore production recovered and a new Papa-Terra well started up

By Brazil Stock Guide – Brava Energia SA (BRAV3) produced 82,961 barrels of oil equivalent a day in September, up 1.7% from August, and ended the third quarter with average output of 82,387 boe/d, its highest quarterly level this year. The figures are preliminary and unaudited.

Offshore output rose 2.5% month over month to 53,155 boe/d, from 51,876 boe/d in August. Onshore production was little changed at 29,806 boe/d, compared with 29,732 boe/d a month earlier.

Oil production increased 2.7% to 64,160 barrels a day, while natural gas output fell 1.9% to 18,800 boe/d. About 28% of gas produced in the Recôncavo asset was reinjected during the month.

Papa-Terra output rebounds

Papa-Terra oil production climbed to 10,202 barrels a day in September from 7,927 barrels a day in August. Potiguar output edged up to 19,415 barrels a day, while Atlanta declined to 23,778 barrels a day from 24,366 barrels a day.

Brava said the gradual production recovery at Potiguar continued, supported by higher steam reinjection volumes. At Papa-Terra, the PPT-52 well started production on Sept. 29 and remains in the stabilization phase. The well is part of a four-well drilling campaign across the Papa-Terra and Atlanta fields.

Brava’s quarterly average production increased to 82.4k boe/d in the third quarter from 81.7k boe/d in the second quarter and 76.0k boe/d in the first. The third-quarter level also exceeded the 81.3k boe/d average recorded in 2025.

Oil sales rise sharply in September

The company sold 2.741 million barrels of oil in September, up from 837,000 barrels in August. Third-quarter sales totaled 5.147 million barrels, compared with 5.837 million barrels in the second quarter.

Offshore assets accounted for 2.075 million barrels of September sales, while onshore operations contributed 666,000 barrels. Papa-Terra sales reached 451,000 barrels and Atlanta contributed 1.126 million barrels during the month.

Brava operates the Potiguar, Recôncavo, Papa-Terra, Atlanta and Peroá assets. It also holds non-operated stakes of 35% in Pescada and 45% in Manati, both operated by Petrobras (PETR4), as well as a 23% interest in Parque das Conchas, operated by Shell Plc (SHEL).
