By Brazil Stock Guide – PetroReconcavo (RECV3) said on late Wednesday (April 9) its average oil and gas production rose to 24,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day in March, a 1.2% increase from the previous month.
Output growth was driven by the Potiguar asset, where production climbed 3.9% to 12,700 boe/d, reflecting a new well in the Boa Esperança field and the restart of wells following workover interventions. Oil output rose 3.1% to 7,700 bbl/d, while gas increased 5.1% to 5,000 boe/d.
In contrast, production in the Bahia asset fell 1.3% to 11,900 boe/d. The company cited a scheduled shutdown at the São Roque facility for maintenance, as well as unplanned stoppages in compression systems and power generation failures at the Tiê field. Some losses were partially offset by the return of wells in Miranga.
The figures highlight the company’s reliance on operational execution in mature fields, where interventions such as workovers can quickly restore volumes, but unplanned outages continue to weigh on short-term output stability.
