By Brazil Stock Guide – Itaúsa (ITSA4) entered the ranking of the most traded stocks on Brazil’s B3 exchange for the first time since DataWise+ began tracking the indicator in January 2025. The holding company ranked tenth in February 2026, based on total financial volume traded.

According to DataWise+, a B3 platform, the ranking is calculated using total traded value, derived from share price multiplied by volume. Data released on March 24 showed Vale (VALE3), Petrobras (PETR4) and Itaú Unibanco (ITUB4) leading trading activity during the month.

Vale (VALE3) topped the overall ranking, followed by Petrobras (PETR4) and Itaú Unibanco (ITUB4). Banco do Brasil (BBAS3) and Bradesco (BBDC4) completed the top five, while B3 (B3SA3) ranked sixth. Banco BTG Pactual (BPAC11), Axia Energia (AXIA3), Prio (PRIO3) and Itaúsa (ITSA4) rounded out the top 10.

The inclusion of Itaúsa marks its first appearance among the most traded stocks since the monitoring began, highlighting increased activity in the asset during February.

DataWise+ also provided a breakdown by investor type. Vale (VALE3) led trading across all categories, including retail investors, institutional players and foreign investors. Among non-residents, Itaú Unibanco (ITUB4) and Petrobras (PETR4) followed Vale, while Itaúsa (ITSA4) appeared in tenth place in that segment.
