By Brazil Stock Guide – Banco de Brasília (BRB), ticker: BRB, has acquired a substantial stake in Biomm (B1MM3) following the liquidation of the Cartago Fund. The transfer saw 35,390,320 ordinary shares, representing 25.86% of Biomm’s capital, move from the fund to BRB, its sole investor.
While this transaction marks BRB as a key shareholder, the bank has stated it does not plan to influence Biomm’s management or control. BRB emphasized that the acquisition would not alter the company’s governance structure, adding that any sale of these shares would be executed in an orderly manner. This move was officially communicated to Biomm through a letter and reported to the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).
