Vibra exits Evolua as Copersucar takes full control

Vibra Energia (VBBR3) completed the sale of its 49.9% stake in Evolua Etanol, leaving Copersucar with full ownership

Vibra

By Brazil Stock Guide – Vibra Energia SA (VBBR3) said on Tuesday (14) it completed the sale of its 49.9% stake in Evolua Etanol to Copersucar, ending the partnership and leaving the buyer with 100% ownership of the ethanol company. Vibra’s current trading code is VBBR3 on Brazil’s B3 exchange.

The transaction had originally been announced in December last year, and the companies did not disclose the deal value.

With the closing, Copersucar now fully controls Evolua Etanol. Vibra said the decision to unwind the partnership reflects new market dynamics and is consistent with its strategy to increase flexibility in ethanol sourcing.

The deal marks a strategic shift for Vibra in the biofuels segment, as the distributor moves to adjust its supply structure amid changing conditions in the ethanol market. For Copersucar, the transaction consolidates full ownership of Evolua following the completion of the purchase.
