By Brazil Stock Guide – PRIO’s oil and gas production rose to 196,260 barrels of oil equivalent per day in July, the company’s highest monthly average so far in 2026, as three wells returned to production at the Frade field and output increased at Albacora Leste and Peregrino.
Preliminary and unaudited production was 10.2% higher than the 178,067 boepd recorded in June and 14.1% above the second-quarter average of 172,016 boepd.
The Valente cluster, comprising the Frade and Wahoo fields, produced 72,730 boepd in July, up 14.4% from the previous month. PRIO completed the replacement of a gas-lift line at Frade on July 19, restoring production from three wells that had been temporarily shut.
Production attributable to PRIO at Albacora Leste, where the company holds a 90% interest, jumped 29.9% from June to 27,694 boepd.
Peregrino, in which PRIO owns an 80% stake, remained the company’s largest producing asset. Output rose 4.4% to 81,971 barrels per day, accounting for nearly 42% of PRIO’s total production in July.
The Bravo cluster, which includes the Polvo and Tubarão Martelo fields, was the only operation to report a decline. Production fell 5.6% to 13,865 barrels per day after the OGX-44HP well was temporarily shut for repairs to a production line.
PRIO also reported oil sales of 6.35 million barrels in July, up 16.9% from June and above the previous 2026 monthly high of 6.23 million barrels recorded in March.
Peregrino accounted for 2.81 million barrels of July sales, followed by the Valente cluster with 1.95 million barrels. Albacora Leste contributed 947,938 barrels, while sales from the Bravo cluster totaled 644,865 barrels.
