PagBank Profit Beats Estimates as Credit Book Expands

Brazilian digital bank reported quarterly earnings above expectations as lending growth accelerated

By Brazil Stock Guide – PagBank (NYSE: PAGS) posted recurring net income of 576 million reais ($106 million) in the second quarter, up 1.9% from a year earlier and above the 528.5 million-real average estimate compiled by LSEG.

Net revenue rose 1.7% to 3.38 billion reais in the three months through June. The company ended the period with 34.1 million customers.

Lending Drives Expansion

The lender’s credit portfolio reached 5.1 billion reais, a 31% increase from the second quarter of 2025. PagBank said the expansion was supported by products including working-capital loans, credit cards and payroll-deductible credit.

Payments Volume Rises

PagBank processed 133.4 billion reais in transactions through its merchant-acquiring operation during the quarter. The figure increased 3% from a year earlier and 4% from the first quarter of 2026.
