By Brazil Stock Guide – LATAM Airlines Brazil rose to 24th place overall in the Merco Empresas Brasil 2025 corporate reputation ranking, strengthening its position as the highest-rated airline in the country, according to the survey released on Thursday (5).

The carrier improved by six positions from 2024 and has gained 24 spots over the past three years, remaining the only airline in the top 30 of the national ranking for a second consecutive year. The company also retained the No. 1 position in the airline sector ranking, a category introduced in the 2024 edition of the study.

Merco, short for Monitor Empresarial de Reputação Corporativa, said the 12th edition of its Brazil survey evaluated companies across criteria including ethics, governance, financial performance, environmental impact and social commitment. The results were compiled from 17,339 interviews conducted between May and December 2025, incorporating input from executives, academics, market analysts, unions, non-governmental organizations, business journalists, social representatives and digital influencers, while also factoring in brand perception on social media.

“The result reinforces our strategy of maintaining responsible and transparent operations, strengthening trust relationships with all stakeholders and contributing to the development of the aviation sector and society,” said Maria Elisa Curcio, LATAM Brazil’s director of corporate affairs, regulatory matters and sustainability.

Merco said it is the first corporate reputation monitor globally to undergo an independent audit of its methodology and results. The review is conducted by KPMG under the ISAE 3000 standard, with a formal opinion published each year. Merco added that its weighting criteria and ranking results are made publicly available.

LATAM said its performance reflects an expansion strategy in Brazil focused on connectivity, operational efficiency and customer experience. In 2025, the airline launched 20 new domestic routes, reaching a record number of destinations in Brazil, and added six new international routes.

The company said it also posted a record Net Promoter Score of 54, maintained leadership in corporate travel, and won the Reclame Aqui award for the second year in a row, alongside recognition as one of the companies that most respects consumers.

For 2026, LATAM said it plans to continue expanding connectivity with new international routes to Ushuaia and Punta Cana, and will begin operating in Uberaba, which will become its 60th domestic destination in Brazil.
