By Brazil Stock Guide – International Schools Partnership (ISP), the London-based education network backed by Partners Group (PGHN SW) and Canadian pension fund OMERS, has finalized the acquisition of Grupo Godoi Educacional, bringing São Paulo’s prestigious Colégio Albert Sabin into its portfolio. The group confirmed the transition in a letter to families today, emphasizing continuity, academic autonomy and what it called a “smooth and calm transition.”
Integration Strategy and School Philosophy
In the communication, ISP said Albert Sabin’s academic leadership will remain in place throughout the integration period to preserve the school’s culture and educational identity. The network highlighted the school’s reputation as one of São Paulo’s most respected institutions, known for academic excellence, student autonomy and a global-minded approach rooted in its guiding principle of “teaching is creating opportunities.”
ISP stated it is committed to maintaining each school’s unique culture while providing global expertise, updated pedagogical practices and expanded learning opportunities. The letter also stressed that daily operations at Albert Sabin will not change for now, and that families will receive additional guidance once regulatory approvals are complete.
Expansion Across Brazil and Globally
ISP already operates premium and bilingual schools in Brazil—including Aubrick, Brazilian International School, Escola Internacional de Alphaville and Progresso Bilíngue—and manages 114 schools across 25 countries, serving more than 92,500 students. In the letter, ISP said the Albert Sabin acquisition will allow the school to access the network’s international academic opportunities, improved infrastructure investments and the group’s broader educational resources.
Consolidation Wave in Brazil’s Premium K-12 Market
The transaction adds momentum to a consolidation wave in Brazil’s high-end K-12 segment, where global operators are accelerating expansion. In August, the UK-based Nord Anglia Education bought São Paulo’s Escola Móbile, after previously acquiring the New York and São Paulo campuses of Avenues School for about US$500 million.
ISP itself purchased the Brazilian International School from Bahema in 2023 for R$78 million. Inspired Education marked the sector’s largest deal to date in 2022 with its R$2 billion acquisition of Eleva.
Albert Sabin, consistently ranked among Brazil’s top K-12 schools for its academic results and extracurricular-driven methodology, strengthens ISP’s positioning among upper-income families seeking premium, internationally aligned education models.
