By Brazil Stock Guide – Embraer SA reported the highest first-quarter revenue in its history, as aircraft deliveries increased and its order backlog reached a new record, even as net income declined from a year earlier.
The São José dos Campos, Brazil-based planemaker posted revenue of R$7.6 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 18% from the same period a year earlier. In dollar terms, revenue reached $1.4 billion, a 31% year-on-year increase.
Embraer’s shares trade under the ticker EMBJ3 in São Paulo and its American depositary shares trade as EMBJ in New York, after the company changed its codes from EMBR3 and ERJ in November 2025.
The company said the performance reflected currency effects and stronger operations in Defense & Security and Commercial Aviation. The result marked a record for a first quarter, underscoring the continued recovery of demand across its main business lines.
Net income, however, fell to R$145.4 million in the three months through March, compared with R$299.9 million in the same period of 2025. Embraer also said US import tariffs had a $13 million impact during the quarter.
Capital expenditures reached $98.8 million in the period. Including investments in Eve, its urban air mobility subsidiary developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, total investments amounted to $148.6 million.
Deliveries rose sharply. Embraer handed over 44 aircraft in the first quarter, compared with 30 a year earlier, a 47% increase. The total included 10 commercial jets, 29 executive jets and five defense aircraft — one KC-390 Millennium transport aircraft and four A-29 Super Tucano units.
The company’s consolidated backlog rose to $32.1 billion, up 21.6% from a year earlier and its sixth consecutive historical record. Embraer said Commercial Aviation was a key driver, with that unit’s backlog increasing 50% year-on-year.
For 2026, Embraer maintained its previously announced guidance. The company expects to deliver 80 to 85 commercial aircraft and 160 to 170 executive jets during the year.
