By Brazil Stock Guide – Embraer SA (EMBR3 BZ) reported a record order backlog of $32.1 billion in the first quarter of 2026, marking its sixth all-time high and reflecting a 22% increase from a year earlier. The performance was largely driven by strong demand in its commercial aviation segment and continued expansion in services.
Commercial aviation led the gains, with backlog reaching $15 billion, up 50% year-on-year. The growth was supported by new contracts, including Finnair’s selection of the E195-E2 aircraft, with a deal that could total up to 46 jets.
The results underscore rising global demand for fuel-efficient aircraft, positioning Embraer to strengthen its footprint in international markets.
Executive aviation remained stable, with backlog at $7.6 billion, unchanged both quarterly and annually. The Phenom 300 family maintained its leadership position, ranking as the world’s best-selling light jet for the 14th consecutive year.
In defense and security, Embraer delivered one KC-390 aircraft to Portugal and four A-29 Super Tucano units to customers in Uruguay, Portugal and an undisclosed client, reinforcing its presence in global military markets.
The services and support segment reached a record $5.1 billion backlog, up 11% year-on-year, reflecting growth in maintenance, support and integrated solutions offerings.
