Brava Energia january output slips after Q4 recovery

Brazilian oil producer cites ANP restrictions, maintenance and offshore instability

By Brazil Stock Guide – – Brava Energia SA said its preliminary and unaudited production totaled 73,842 barrels of oil equivalent per day in January 2026, slightly below the company’s fourth-quarter average, as operational disruptions hit both onshore and offshore assets.

The Rio de Janeiro-based producer, traded on Brazil’s B3 exchange as BRAV3, reported that the decline was driven mainly by temporary restrictions in the Potiguar region and instability at Parque das Conchas, according to a production update released Thursday.

Production Details

Brava’s January production compares with an average of 76,728 boe/d in the fourth quarter of 2025. Offshore output reached 45,720 boe/d, while onshore production totaled 28,122 boe/d.

Oil production averaged 60,437 barrels per day, down slightly from 61,137 bbl/d in the previous quarter. Gas output averaged 13,406 boe/d, compared with 15,592 boe/d in the fourth quarter.

Potiguar Hit by ANP Restrictions and Power Failures

The company said production in Potiguar was impacted by a temporary shutdown of installations following an audit conducted by Brazil’s oil regulator ANP in September 2025. Brava said it has been gradually receiving approvals to resume operations.

It also cited failures in energy supply that affected output during the month.

Recôncavo Gas Output Reduced by Petrobras Maintenance

In the Recôncavo region, gas production was affected by a scheduled maintenance shutdown at the Catu gas processing unit (UPGN), operated by Petrobras (PETR3, PETR4), Brava said.

The company also noted that around 30% of Recôncavo gas production was reinjected in January.

Offshore Assets Show Mixed Performance

At the Atlanta field, Brava said output was affected by adjustments carried out on one of the pumps in operation.

Meanwhile, Parque das Conchas, operated by Shell, faced operational instability after a scheduled shutdown, with interventions underway to restore normalized production levels.

Operator Role and Portfolio Exposure

Brava said it operates Potiguar, Recôncavo, Papa-Terra, Atlanta and Peroá, while holding non-operated stakes in Pescada (35%) and Manati (45%), both operated by Petrobras, and Parque das Conchas (23%), operated by Shell.
