Transpetro posts record volumes in 2025 on stronger fuel flows

Petrobras unit lifts diesel and LPG shipments across pipelines and ports.

Transpetro record transport volumes 2025

By Brazil Stock Guide – Transpetro closed 2025 with the highest volume of oil and fuels ever moved through its logistics network, extending a four-year streak of annual growth. The Petrobras unit transported 658 million cubic meters across its 46 terminals and roughly 8,500 kilometers of pipelines, a 1.1% increase from 2024.

Growth was led by refined products. Volumes of fuels rose to 221.3 million cubic meters in 2025 from 215.5 million a year earlier, an expansion of 2.7%. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and diesel accounted for the largest gains.

LPG shipments surged 24% year over year after the start-up of the Boaventura Energy Complex boosted domestic output. The new capacity intensified flows along pipelines linking Itaboraí, in Rio de Janeiro state, to terminals in Guanabara Bay, while also lifting volumes handled at Paranaguá in Paraná, Santos in São Paulo, and Barra do Riacho in Espírito Santo.

Diesel transport increased 3.6%, driven by higher consumption in Brazil’s Center-West region. Much of that demand is supplied through the São Paulo–Brasília pipeline, a key corridor for fuel distribution.

Operations involving ship-to-ship transfers rose by about 18% in 2025, reflecting stronger offshore production. “This increase was more concentrated at the terminals of Angra dos Reis and São Sebastião, serving the growing demand to move offshore oil output,” the company said.

Transpetro is a wholly owned unit of Petrobras (NYSE: PBR; B3: PETR3, PETR4), Brazil’s state-controlled oil producer, and plays a central role in the country’s oil and fuels logistics.
